You Should Really Drink More Water

Hey, you! You should drink more water.

Believe it or not, you might even be able to blame your high cholesterol on not having a water bottle. Well, at least a little bit.

Bear with me and you’ll see what I mean.

WaterYour cholesterol might be high because you’re not drinking enough water. If you don’t drink enough water, you risk dehydration, even if you like sipping on other liquids (like soda). When you’re dehydrated, it’s possible that your body produces more cholesterol. It’s easy to see how this could build up over time.

Luckily, it’s also easy to fix this problem. Just drink more water.

Sure, you can always just get water from the tap, but sometimes you don’t feel like washing a cup (or dirtying a clean cup) just to drink some water.

You need a water bottle. That’s right, they’re not just for soccer practice and bike rides anymore.

Water bottles can make your life easier for a number of reasons.

First of all, they will reduce the amount of clutter in your sink, since you can stop using cups whenever you want a sip of water.

Second of all, they’ll remind you to drink water. The visual cue will make you more likely to drink water throughout the day as your eyes randomly wander towards your water bottle. The convenience of a water bottle will also make you drink more, since you can mindlessly take a swig whenever your mouth starts getting dry.

Water and MoneyFinally, water bottles can save you money. If you always carry a reusable water bottle around, you’ll never have to buy water bottles at stores. You’ll also be less likely to buy other drinks, since you’ll always be hydrated.

Remember, staying hydrated may help lower the amount of cholesterol your body produces. While further study is needed to really prove this, staying hydrated is a good idea regardless of its cholesterol-related benefits. As you’ve just read, staying hydrated is as easy as investing (just a little bit) into a nice water bottle.

So which one should you get? Well, obviously, most water bottles (at least hopefully) will serve the same basic function — securely holding water. Beyond that, it’s a matter of what your life needs.

Let’s say you’re usually in your office with easy access to a sink or water cooler. In that case, you might want a smaller water bottle since you’ll never need a huge supply at any one time.

Bobble water bottleOn the other hand, maybe the water from your office sink just isn’t that clean. In that case, you might not just want a small water bottle, but also one with some sort of filtration system. In this case, the Bobble water bottle would be perfect for you, since it instantly filters whatever water you pour into it. As long as you don’t mind refilling it fairly often throughout the day, the Bobble would be the perfect option for you to keep at work, and it’s only 10 bucks!

Let’s say you like hiking on the weekends, though. The Bobble is great for the office, but it probably just wouldn’t be enough water to take into the great outdoors. For the weekend, you might want to invest in a Nalgene water bottle. It’ll hold a lot more water, and they’re super durable which is always a good fit for the outdoors. This will also only set you back 10 bucks, so you can get both water bottles for 20.

In other words, for 20 bucks you can make it that much easier to stay hydrated for the foreseeable future. Of course, Bobble and Nalgene are just two of countless water bottles out there, so check some other types out and pick the right one for you. No matter which one you pick, you’ll be more hydrated and keep your body happy.
